Bio: Krystal Ball was born on November 24, 1981, and her birthplace is King George County, West Virginia. She received her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia and previously worked for the federal contractor CGI Group. Krystal Ball is co-host of the independent political news show Breaking Points, which is frequently ranked the number 1 news podcast on Spotify. She is co-author with Saagar Enjeti of the best-selling book “The Populist’s Guide to 2020.” She also co-hosts a left leaning political podcast, Krystal Kyle & Friends. Krystal previously served as an anchor on MSNBC where she co-hosted The Cycle for 5 years. She was also the Democratic nominee for Congress in 2010, in her hometown district in Virginia. The former candidate was named by Forbes Magazine as number 21 on the magazines “The Top 25 Most Powerful Women of The Midterm Elections”. She is a political commentator and contributor under contract for MSNBC, making regular contributions to the Huffington Post. Since then, Krystal Ball also called for a lifetime ban on lobbying by former members of Congress, a ban on lobbyist gifts, increased disclosure, and the establishment of a new independent ethics commission to investigate and audit the influence of special interests.
